I Don’t Want To Get In My Heat Pump’s Crawl Space:

I consider myself claustrophobic, which means I try to avoid as many small spaces as I can. Over the years, I’ve learned that there are certain small spaces I can and can’t control. For instance, I can control the size of my car, house, and the rooms within it. However, I cannot control the size of the crawl space that my heat pump is in. Although I do everything I can to keep my heat pump working efficiently, I understand my weakness and hire a professional HVAC technician to enter the crawl space. Since the heat pump needs regular maintenance, I signed up for monthly servicing with my local HVAC company. Not only does this mean I no longer have to enter the crawl space, but it saves me money in the long run. I wouldn’t be able to afford paying a HVAC technician to come over every month at a normal rate. The company schedules my appointments each month for the same time and day, and they call a few days in advance to remind me. At this point, I don’t even have to be home to have my heat pump serviced anymore. The HVAC professional enters the crawl space and replaces the air filters, clean the coils, keeps the outside unit clean, and I’m sure he does a lot more that I don’t know about. I’m so thankful for the monthly service program my HVAC company provides, because I’m not someone who could step foot into that crawl space.
