A few years ago, I got my first task after finishing technical university! I was fresh out of university & I still had a lot to learn.
I took a task working for a heating & cooling business.
I had to drive 25 minutes to work each day, but at least it was all on the interstate. I lived in a absolutely small town, & the single heating & cooling company only had family employees. I did not mind having to drive to the city for work, especially because I had a new car, however the car was a gift from my mom & dad, when I graduated & passed my Heating & A/C certification test. I had a strenuous time getting along with the crew, because they worked together for a absolutely long time. In the first 2 weeks, I barely left the shop. I was stuck performing all of the grunt work, love filling up chemical containers, stocking trucks, & sweeping the floors, after that, I started going out to assist other heating & cooling servicemans with their replacement tasks. It was boring, but at least I got out of the shop a few nights each week, and during a gas furnace replacement, I found a $20 bill in the parking lot. I scooped it up hastily & put it in my pocket. I thought it was my lucky afternoon! Later that afternoon, the boss called myself and others to the office. I thought I was going to get a pat on the back for a task well done, although he provided myself and others the boot instead. The other serviceman dropped the $20 bill in the parking lot on purpose, & I was deemed a thief for picking it up.
