I was so excited to move into my new home.
I thought I had a real steal when I got the house for less than half of what it should have cost; until I moved.
My dad had told me to get all of the inspections done on the house, but I didn’t want to waste any time and maybe lose my home. The closings were fast, and I was ready to move in even before we signed the paperwork. After moving in, I realized why they were selling the house for so cheaply. I soon found out that I had electrical troubles. The lights in my bedroom went on and off and someone had miswired my porch lights. Whenever the doorbell rang, the lights would come on. I had some problems with the plumbing. The bathroom in the master bedroom had been built and beautifully furnished, but it wasn’t attached to the septic. My final disappointment came in the way of HVAC. I tried to turn on the air conditioning, but nothing happened. I had to call the HvAC company to have them inspect my air conditioning. When the HVAC tech arrived, he told me that my problem was with the thermostat. I was grateful that it was going to be an easy fix, but then he inspected the rest of the HVAC system. He discovered some holes and cracks in the ductwork which he said he could also fix. Now, my only problem is that I am not only out of money, but I don’t get even HVAC coming from the air vents. I was told I needed fans put between the rooms to help get the airflow regulated.
