They told me they had such a barrage of calls because of the impending snowstorm and they couldn’t get to me for at least two days
I am the mother of two teenage sons and everyone that has kids knows that you often need to do something you shouldn’t just to make ends meet. For instance, a couple weeks ago, I called the HvAC company for my maintenance on the furnace. He told me I really had to replace a part on the furnace, but I couldn’t afford the added cost at that moment. I had only budgeted for the cleaning and nothing else. It was almost two weeks later, when my furnace broke. It ceased to run and it was getting really cold out. They were even calling for snow. I knew I should call the HVAC company to have the repair done, but it was a Saturday evening. I couldn’t afford to pay the added cost of overtime hours and weekend maintenance fee. I decided to wait until Monday morning to call the HVAC company. My boys grumbled about needing to wear jackets in the house and then needing to use the electric blankets to keep warm at night, but it was only one full day and night. On Monday morning I called the HVAC company. They told me they had such a barrage of calls because of the impending snowstorm and they couldn’t get to me for at least two days. My sons were so unhappy that they told me they were going to stay at a friend’s house and I told them no. Because of no furnace, my boys aren’t talking to me and I am sitting here shivering. Next year, I will need to budget more when it comes to my furnace maintenance.
