My room gets hot

I really hate to seem ungrateful.

I work very hard to be thankful for everything in my life and to acknowledge all of the ways that I have been blessed.

I think it’s very important to utilize gratitude throughout your day in order to stay healthy, balanced, and present. If you can keep your brain focus on the good things in your life, it helps a lot with mindset as well as thinking clearly. Besides, other humans simply don’t like ungrateful and grumpy people around. This is what I keep trying to remind myself when it comes to my current living situation. For the past few months, I have been so grateful to my friends for letting me stay with them. I showed up unexpectedly, and they gave me a spare room to get by. I am beyond filled with gratitude. However, I do wish that the air temperature in my room was a bit more manageable. It seems as though there is an issue either with me ventilation system or the home insulation. Hell, with us hot and humid as it gets in my room at times, it’s possible that there is a problem with both the HVAC and the window sealing. You see, every afternoon it seems like my room has a portable space heater in it. The air temperature started slowly heating up, degree by degree until it’s swelteringly hot and humid inside the room. By the time night rolls around, my room feels like a sauna. I don’t want to complain to my gracious hosts, so I’ve been doing my best to get by in the heat and humidity. Maybe this isn’t the best strategy, because they recently asked why I disturb them to take ice cold showers in the middle of the night.
