When my husband and I got married, we decided to take a honeymoon road trip. We both wanted to see famous landmarks and visit other states. The first day was amazing, and we were raring to go. We made some cool stops and enjoyed the way the land slowly changed outside our windows as we drove through the first few states. By evening, we were ready to rest our heads, and soon found a hotel. The place was quite nice. We were shown up to our room, and we noticed immediately that it was way too muggy. By looking at the thermostat in the room, we discovered that it was almost eighty degrees in there! One look at my husband and we both knew this wasn’t going to fly. We searched near the windows, and we examined the thermostat, we couldn’t find anything in the room that looked like it would turn on the air conditioning. Was there some problem with the cooling system in the hotel? Were they having their air conditioning serviced? We returned to the front desk for more information regarding the air conditioning situation in our room. The women there told us that the air conditioning system was down, and that they would not be able to get a technician to repair it until the morning. After a day of driving, a day, moreover that was our first as a married couple, this news was most unwelcome. We ended up spending some time on the patio of the hotel bar instead of in our room together. The problem with the air conditioning system was an unwelcome end to an otherwise perfect day.
