A few weeks ago, I dragged our husband to a greenhouse exhibit I was dying to see. I prefer looking at all the weird types of plants while staying toasty warm. I’m not sure why, but I’ve regularly been drawn to greenhouses since I was a kid! Well, this greenhouse was supposed to be massive, filled with so many colorful flowers. I couldn’t wait! While there, I was absolutely not disappointed. I saw so several weird types of flowers I hadn’t even known existed, and there were several rooms in this large greenhouse. One of the rooms kind of surprised me others a little. I didn’t realize it until I got to this particular room because of the vast temperature difference, but this giant greenhouse had climate controlled heating! Obviously, it had occurred to myself and others before that weird plants might need weird climates and temperature ranges, however I had never seen a greenhouse that entirely had functioning climate control in weird areas of the greenhouse. This room happened to have a quaint little pond with koi fish in it. Typical pond fish, however I prefer koi fish so I didn’t mind. This was seriously the coolest greenhouse I had been to, and the indoor temperatures were comfortable to me! I recognize that if I ever build a greenhouse of our own, I may look into a similar structure and climate control system. I was impressed with everything that I saw. And honestly, I don’t know why more greenhouses don’t do this! Perhaps in the future the trend will begin to catch on. But for now, I knew what greenhouse I would be spending our time at!
