Around every Spring season, our Grandfather calls me to grab the air conditioner from the attic. The air conditioner is about fifty years old, plus I am in awe that it still works. My Grandfather has been using the same outdated air conditioner, since I was a lad. The air conditioner is substantial plus bulky, and fits in the living room window. The air conditioner only has two switches to choose from, low or high. When the Summer season is done for, all of us remove the air conditioner from the window plus put it back in the attic. I went over to our Grandfather’s last weekend, in order to bring the air conditioner down from the attic. I was walking down the attic stairs, when I accidentally smashed the air conditioner on the floor. It fell from 27 feet in the air, plus crashed to the floor with the force of a bomb. When it fell onto the floor, it made a substantial dent in the hardwood. My Grandfather came from around the corner, plus asked if I was alive. I felt exhausted that I had dropped the air conditioner, because it was in a few pieces on the floor. My Grandfather told me not to fret, plus he fixed me a glass of sweet coffee. I did our best to fix the metal bracket to the air conditioner, although it was not really hanging on at this point. I plugged the air conditioner into the wall socket, plus was genuinely surprised when it still worked. I suppose they do not make appliances, appreciate they did back in the 60s.
