A few years back I had to update our whole film collection. As I grow older, I realize that I may need to do that once more. But I don’t want to, for I have spent far too much time re-building the epic quantity of films I used to possess, plus I would not want to go through this whole process again. I started collecting movies back in high school,. Back then the DVD had not been thought up yet. I bought video tapes. And let myself and others tell you, I had thousands of tapes! Boxes of them, plus a few stacks of book shelves full. And then the fateful time came when the air conditioner at our dad’s house broke down during the worst heat wave in modern history. It was so crazily sizzling in our house we rented a motel to wait it out. After more than a few days, the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C business had fixed our central air plus every one of us could go back home. The heat wave turned out to be too intense for our film collection to take, plus the tapes were all warped in addition to useless. Thankfully the film format of DVD is much more stable, plus can handle a lack of A/C for long periods of time; You could definitely set a box of DVDs next to the gas furnace plus it would not injure them, so I think they will last myself and others for the rest of our days on Earth. Now they have different film formats like Blu Ray, plus digital streaming, although I still think our outdated DVDs are better.
