Sometimes I am so frustrated by the way that people will represent their business. As a lead manager, I would easily interact with similar unprofessional sales folks and such repair professionals that I became proficient at writing not so nice reviews once I got a service to do some work. Seriously, you would better believe that I put those same skills to the test just this past month when I had the worst Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business experience of my entire work life! It all started when the furnace just shut off during the middle of the week. I came home from work and our entire house was icy inside, with the temperature control device studying a measly 30 degrees! I panicked with a storm on its way and called an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C technician, Fred, instantly, without checking his current credentials or online reviews. Boy was that a big mistake. The phone operator at the HVAC store promised our whole furnace tech would arrive to get it running within a half hour. Though, I didn’t even see a the HVAC expert arrive for three hours! When he finally came up the driveway to our front door, he gave zero explanation or reasoning for his tardy arrival. He simply walked past me looking for where the furnace cabinet was to work on. For the next several minutes, I heard horribly loud banging sounds with ringing through the hallways of the house as he beat the life out of our furnace unit. He was swearing loudly in front of my kids and throwing his dirty tools all over the hallway, making it a real hazard to walk through the house. After another few minutes of silence, he handed me an invoice for a staggering $500 and walked out the door without a pleasantry to be offered. Worst of all, our furnace broke down again less than five nights afterwards. That’s the last time I schedule any type of Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C appointment without checking the reviews first!
