Nothing should break

Sandra lived in the city for a number of years.  She grew up around the hustle and bustle, and completely thrived on the noise and constant activity all around her.  She worked as a very busy ad exec, and really felt bad for those people she saw on television, who lived in little towns with nothing going on really.  They didn’t even have a Dipson Theater nearby. She didn’t fully understand how they survived that kind of life. Until one day, she was involved in a horrible car accident.  Happily, over numerous months, she was able to make a full recovery. When it came time for her to go to her dwelling and back to the normal everyday life, she finally had no desire for that same life anymore.  She wanted total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature entirely. She surprised everyone when she actually bought a nice little place in the country. She was entirely satisfied with the purchase, citing documents that showed correct service to all the major appliances of the dwelling, the gas furnace and A/C appliance, the roof, the numerous other devices.  She felt strongly that nothing would break down on her anytime soon. All was great, until a year into residing in this dwelling. She called the local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation to get some Heating, Ventilation, and A/C service. The gas furnace serviceman took hard look at everything and was not pleased. Apparently, the gas furnace wasn’t burning clean in the slightest.  There was a massive soot build-up that meant disappointing air quality and a potential disaster for Sandra. She had to have all the air ducts cleaned out and parts replaced, which was an expense she certainly wasn’t expecting from a heating appliance that should have been kept in legitimately working order. Upon speaking to the gas furnace specialist, he told her the previous Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor performing service on the dwelling was actually known for chopping corners.  She was especially miffed, however still much happier in this old dwelling than she was staying in the city.
