I worked in retail for more than four years. It wasn’t a bad task plus I did get amazing discounts on clothes plus shoes, what adolescents wouldn’t care about that? I truly ran my own department which I loved. Actually, now that I am thinking about it the only thing I didn’t enjoy about the truly working at this task was their heating plus cooling system. The store I worked in was a small shop, however it was also a chain of stores run by 1 family. The owners were entirely stingy when it came to money. They wanted complete control over everything, especially the heating plus cooling system. They refused to all the heat to be turned up higher than 72, plus the cooling plan wasn’t allowed to go past 79. Does that make any sense to you? It didn’t to us. If every one of us wanted to turn the heat up every one of us had to call the owner to get permission to adjust the temperature control. I live in a major snow belt space where while I was in the Winter season every one of us often experience strong winds, plus sub zero temps. The store was constantly cold cold. Both of us could even spend our shift running around putting out modern shipments plus helping our customers plus every one of us would still be cold. Our customers would even complain about the temperature settings in the store because they too felt the store was too cold. When my manager called to ask permission to adjust the temperature control he simply told her that was unnecessary. Did I mention he lives in the south plus he has no concept of what a northeastern Winter season is absolutely like?
