Good friends, big plans, fast car, beach chairs, beach towels, sunscreen, sunglasses and an iPod full of 90’s tunes. The five of us had 350 miles to travel to the beach party of the year. Spring Break had finally begun, and we had booked a stay at The Sheridan for four nights. When we arrived, we were so tired. We spent our first night conked out in our room so naturally when we got up in the morning to leave our hotel room for the evening, we just wanted to double check that we didn’t forget anything. We turned on the air conditioning knowing we would need some relief after being sunbaked all day. So we headed out to the beach for the rest of the day. Apparently, sometime during the day the air conditioner shut off automatically. When we got back to our room, we were surprised that the room wasn’t cool. We checked the temperature of the ac and legit had to play with it for a half hour before we figured out how to adjust the settings properly.Kind of wish we would have had an old fashioned ac in our room. Let’s be honest though the ones in the hotel rooms by the windows do not do justice. One minute you are too warm, so you turn it on the next minute, it is too much air hitting the person closest to it, but the other person is fine.We have decided for future references to always make sure we double check the room before leaving it unattended to avoid these inconveniences.
