Good friends, big plans, fast car, beach chairs, beach towels, sunscreen, sunglasses & an iPod full of 90’s songs. The several of us had 350 miles to travel to the beach party of the year. Spring Break had finally begun, & we had booked a stay at The Sheridan for more than three nights. When we arrived, we were so exhausted. The people I was with and I spent our first evening conked out in our room so naturally when we got up in the afternoon to leave our hotel room for the evening, we just wanted to double check that we didn’t forget anything. The people I was with and I turned on the air conditioner knowing we would need some relief after being sunbaked all afternoon. So we headed out to the beach for the rest of the afternoon. Apparently, sometime during the afternoon the a/c shut off automatically. When we got back to our room, we were surprised that the room wasn’t cool. The people I was with and I evaluated the temperature of the a/c & legit had to play with it for a half fifth before we figured out how to adjust the settings officially.Kind of wish we would have had an old fashioned a/c in our room, but let’s be fair though the a singles in the hotel rooms by the windows do not do justice. One hour you are too warm, so you turn it on the next hour, it is too much air hitting the man closest to it, but the other man is fine. The people I was with and I have decided for future references to constantly make sure we double check the room before leaving it unattended to avoid these inconveniences.
