Working in the back room at a retail store has its perks as well as its pitfalls! While sometimes it’s a blessing, it can also be awful depending on the season. See, I task at a major retailer, as well as I’m not much of a people person. I am pretty fantastic at pretending to be, but after many hours of helping people out while trying to get my task down, I just get overwhelmed. I come apartment from that as well as have to just unwind for a few hours before I have the energy to get anything done. So I told my boss to give me and others who need it some hours in the backroom to help balance my mind out! This way, I don’t need to schedule myself for less afternoons at task in order to stay somewhat in order. They listened, but not until the Wintertime time. I was grateful to get away from the holiday crowds, but the backroom is bitterly cold. The store only heats the sales area, the back has no heating or air conditioner whatsoever. I think its funny that one morning something is going to freeze back here from the cold, And you can’t wear gloves, since the devices both of us use are touch screen. If I have a long enough shift in the areas with no Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. I will go to the freezer as well as borrow one of their jumpsuits. It looks like a snow suit from a movie or something. I typically look crazy in it, but I don’t know any other way to stay comfortable without any central heater. I had a section oil furnace before, but the store manager said it wasn’t safe and took it away. At least both of us can listen to music as well as dance around to stay warm!
