My fiance has started making soaps & candles, and he has his own separate space for doing this. The soap and candle room has a ductless mini split & thermostat for him, however even with this, my fiance has to keep the door opened. The fumes of his candles & soaps make it rough on him. He says he gets a headache working in that single room. The little ductless mini split does not cycle out the fumes fast enough, and keeping the door open while running the Heating, Ventilation & A/C is not smart though. The ductless Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit is really just wasting energy when he has the door open, but also, the scents get pushed into the entire home’s air and now our whole place reeks of unusual soap & candle scents. It has gotten so bad that my fiance & I are discussing what air purification products to get. Both of us have discussed a simple air cleaner. I know what the two of us should do is set up the air cleaner in just his room. He can close the door, use the ductless Heating, Ventilation & A/C and run the air cleaner. This way the whole place is safe & his room should have good air quality, but my fiance wants a larger air cleaner that runs for the entire place. This will cost more currency & I don’t know if it will work… What I truly want is for him to close up the candle & soap making shop, although I know that won’t happen. Now I need to find the cheapest air quality fix that allows him to keep his business while not stinking up the house.
