I don’t know much about you, but 2017 has flown by for me. It’s like it was just yesterday that the two of us were celebrating New Year’s Day, and all of a sudden it’s the end of October! I don’t know where all the time went. I was amazed when the weather transitioned from Winter into Spring and the whole family was able to shed our heavy layers and our winter-long reliance on our furnaces far sooner than usual. It warmed up hastily so that we could all could enjoy the outdoors again, without worrying about getting back into central heating before our fingers were numb. However, then the Spring passed in the blink of an eye, until it was summertime time already! Again, we found ourselves taking out our air conditioning equipment plus running it at full blast well before I felt ready. For several weeks on end there was no escape from AC, unless the two of us got bold enough to venture out into the pounding sun plus heavy humidity. Now it’s abruptly fall time again, and it finds us gearing up to run our furnace for the foreseeable future. I’m trying to prepare by contacting the local HVAC companies in the area, comparing their prices on routine HVAC repair packages. I suppose that our furnace hasn’t been tested in many years plus I want to be confidently prepared for the coming weather. It’s important to prime your heating system for the long, chilly season that is hastily approaching – even though I’m having trouble coping with the end of 2017, I genuinely don’t want 2018 to be the year that our central heating component fails.
