I work as a writer and possess the freedom to choose my working environment. It is a superb relief to not have to walk into the same building perpetually, and punch a time clock. I do fellowship with fellow employees a few times a week, to check up on group projects or bounce ideas off of them, but I am given a lot of freedom when it comes to where I do my typing. There are some days when I will never even leave home. I simply sit at the computer in my bedroom, with a hot cup of joe, and a nice, cold, breezy air conditioner or warm and comfy furnace to keep me feeling nice, depending on the time of year. That is quite a great perk of working wherever I want: being able to choose my own climate control system, instead of being at the mercy of the heating and air in some dingy office space. That is actually why I greatly enjoy going to this coffee shop in town to write as well. Besides having the town’s best coffee and a wide array of doughnuts for breakfast or soups and sandwiches for lunch, the cafe has great climate control. I get to sit in a big, soft chair and sit in their excellent heating and air, as I work away on my laptop. No matter if it is hot or cold outside, they always seem to set the perfect temperature on the thermostat to keep their patrons content. I love that little coffee shop, and I love my writing job!
