Getting a small heater for the office

I swear, nobody really knows how to get the best kind of presents like our Grandma. She is just a single one of those people who knows what to get for you, even when you don’t even know what you want to have. She knows that I regularly struggle with ice-cold feet. I’m alright with dealing with Wintertime plus at my residence I’ll bundle up in a sweater plus a blanket rather than turning up the oil heating machine! However, my toes are sort of lengthy, so even in fuzzy socks plus slippers they get so freezing it totally hurts. If I don’t have the oil furnace running high enough, it becomes especially painful with the cold in my feet. Then the only way to find any kind of relief is take a bath to get them under sizzling water for a good while. However, since our water heater is also powered by the oil heating machine, rather than an electric water heater, this wastes fuel that I entirely don’t have the money to replace. Then on Christmas Day I opened up my present from Grams to find the best solution–an electric footwarmer! It’s similar to an electric blanket, however instead of just being a cover it makes a little pocket of heat to stick your feet into. I can take it with me just about everywhere in the residence, from the couch to the office, plus even into my bed. The electric foot warmer entirely heats my feet up so they’re seriously comfy–no more pain–and all without turning up the oil heater. Plus since the electric footwarmer is entirely low wattage, it doesn’t run up the utility bill like an area furnace would.
