While I was devastated when my father passed away this last year, it had a silver lining in that I inherited his home. Of course it was extremely sad, but I have always wanted to be a homeowner. After saving up for years, I planned on investing my money in a house of my own, but this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I’ve decided to invest my money into fixing up his old house and making it my own. Once I got everything cleaned up the way I wanted it, I lived there comfortable for quite some time. Before the Winter season though, I knew that I wanted to update the outdated oil furnace, there was no way I was going to pay a fortune to refill an outdated oil furnace every fall season… The cost of oil is way too much for me! So I had the oil furnace replaced with a gas furnace. I was able to get the gas line installed & everything, & before I knew it, I was all set. While it cost more than I would have liked for the installation process, it was worth it in the end. I knew I would save a tremendous amount of money without having to worry about the expense of oil fill ups. As far as cooling systems went, they just had a few window units in the house. I knew I was going to have to invest in a nice cooling plan in the Spring months. Luckily, that bought me some time to set the funds aside. In the meantime, I was just enjoying the new heating system, & I felt that everything was going to be okay. This isn’t how I imagined things would go, but it was nice to be a homeowner now.
