The carpenter that had created them said that he could customize just about any sort of shelf or cabinet that a person might need so I grabbed his information too
Each year in our area there is a fundraiser that delights the public. Several craftsman, designers, and decorators get together to show off their skills and completely makeover an eyesore of a house. They chose a property that has been let go for many years and it takes months to complete. Once it is done, the public can buy tickets to see how it has been transformed. The money raised goes to help the city mission and many look forward to it each year. This year we went and I left feeling like my home was nothing more than a blank canvas. Each room at the home we toured was set to a different theme, yet, they seemed to flow together. I, on the other hand, had painted each room the same color in my home to attempt to get that feeling. Now, it just looks boring and I want to change everything. I grabbed a couple of cards from the designers who did the showhouse to see if I could get some help from them. The only one I was not impressed with was the company that did the entryway. They made it into a jungle theme and it just didn’t go with the style of the house. There were also some interesting shelving units that were double sided in the den that caught my eye. The high ceilings in that room allowed for the very tall shelves to look like they belonged in the space. The carpenter that had created them said that he could customize just about any sort of shelf or cabinet that a person might need so I grabbed his information too. I am sure I won’t be able to afford to have everything done at the same time but over time I want my home to look just as nice as the one I just toured.
