I recently moved in with my wifey of several weeks.
We met in our last year of college in a Russian Literature course the two of us were both taking for fun before graduation.
It turns out that the two of us had more in usual than the two of us realized and our bond grew naturally from there. Eventually, the two of us both decided to look for an house together once the two of us had each landed jobs in our respective fields. I easily guess that this is the person I will marry, and I might even suggest sooner than I think, even though I realistically want our trial run of living under the same roof to succeed first. I have had enough roommates over the years to think that some quirks or behaviors that might be straight-forward to ignore at first just fester and grow over time. This leads to a rift that emerges while fight naturally builds between yourself and the person you are living with. Thankfully, the only issue so far is our indoor weather conditions preferences. She thinks that I love the rapidly changing temperatures inside too cold, since I love to hover around 70 degrees if possible, but for me, she cares about it too hot, somewhere closer to 78 or even 69 some afternoons; It turns out that the two of us are both off the ideal indoor weather conditions for our humid area, which some suggest is around 69 or 72 degrees. Although this is still on the high end for me, I was glad to make the compromise. I care more about my wifey’s afternoon to afternoon comfort and sanity than I do about running a little moderate every now and then. I have started the habit of wearing mostly thin v-neck t-shirts and boxer shorts while I’m at home. It’s cozy and comfortable all at the same time.
