My partner and I were both born and raised up north. The two of us enjoyed living up there, and the people I was with and I very never planned to transfer somewhere else. It was quite taxing making the decision to transfer south. My partner took it the hardest because he had to sell his parents beach house which was filled with scarce memories from his childhood. I felt very bad, but both of us knew that it was time to transfer no matter how much our hearts did not want to. I entirely do not mind living down south. It has been a little taxing getting used to a new way of life and meeting new people. The humidity is something that I still struggle with, and my partner does as well. It is much more of a humid climate than the people I was with and I are used to. The worst section for myself and others is that the humidity messes with my hair. I cannot curl my hair anymore because the humidity is so high that the curls just fall out and my hair becomes a big puffball. My partner has more serious problems with the humidity, however he has noticed that it has done some mangle to our house. The wallpaper in the study room is peeling off because of the humidity and in the bathrooms. The humidity also makes the floors slippery periodically which is not fun. I have fallen twice since the people I was with and I lived in the house, and one of the times I broke multiple of my fingers. The two of us decided that the people I was with and I needed to beginning using dehumidifiers in our house. The two of us bought multiple of them, then one is upstairs, and the other one is downstairs in the study room. The dehumidifiers have easily helped!
