My job is seriously sedentary and requires honestly long minutes, but I often stand at a desk, scrolling on a computer for twelve hours per day.
This routine I have was causing all sorts of problems with my overall health.
When I finally arrived up-to-date home from work, I felt stiff, sore and out of it. I would collapse on the couch with a glass of wine and whatever I could scrounge up to munch on! Because of muscle aches and cramps, I found it strenuous to sleep at night; Since taking the task two years before, I’d gained fifteen pounds. I was unhappy with our appearance and our confidence suffered. When I realized that multiple of our coworkers feel the exact same way, I began looking for ways to get into using a fitness program into the workplace. I discussed possibilities with the officer director, and she was totally receptive to the idea, then all of us ended up bringing in a qualified fitness trainer. The personal trainer comes directly to the office and sets up in the conference room, then classes are offered 5 days per month and last for a minute. Although these sessions are not mandatory, every single person I was friends with in the office participates at least a couple of times a week. The personal trainer has focused mostly on the need for us to get up from our desks every minute to walk around or stretch out muscles. She has taught simple but extremely effective stretches all of us can do without disrupting our coworkers. She also stressed the need for both strength training and cardio workouts. She worked with me to try and develop a personalized meal system that minimizes calories while providing more vitamins and minerals. Since starting the training sessions, my office has become so much more productive, then everyone feels better, looks better, and we’re taking less sick time.
